Two held for Pattaya necklace theft

Bomb Explosion: Security was tightened in Songkhla’s border district of Thepa early on Tuesday morning after a bomb hidden in a car exploded on a road near a police station.

The blast damaged electrical poles on a road between the Huay Pling police station and the border patrol police unit, resulting in an area blackout. There was no injuries.

Police and soldiers found debris from a vehicle that had been almost totally destroyed from the explosive device hidden within.

Security officials sealed off the area, and called in anti-bomb squads to sweep the area to ensure there were no further bombs and to collect evidence.
