Jackie Chan Donates 2.4 Million Baht to Flood Victims

Jackie Chan donates huge amount to help victims of the floods in Southern Thailand

Kung-fu star Jackie Chan gave 2.4 million Baht to help victims of the flood in the south as a way of saying “thank you” to the Thai people for the kindness they showed him when he was young and living in Bangkok’s Chinatown.

Chan, who now lives in Hong Kong, came to Bangkok Sunday as part of the promotional tour for his new movie, Kung Fu Yoga. After his promotional work was done, he took part in the “Tad Chuey Tai” event that was raising money for the flood victims.

At the event, he expressed how happy he was to help out and complimented the people that had made donations. “Because of you, our world is beautiful,” he said.

At the event, he also sang “Because I love you, I love Thailand, I love you forever,” which drove him fans absolutely wild with happiness.

Jackie’s new movie is currently showing at all major cinemas around Thailand. The Film Railroad Tigers is a 2016 Chinese action comedy, directed by Ding Sheng and starring Jackie Chan. It was released in China on December 23, 2016.

It is about a railroad worker who leads a team of freedom fighters to oppose the Japanese in order to get food for the poor.

Good show, Jackie!
