Danny Boy’s views on the week’s news

Ok  boys and girls, and almost the end of another busy week. Here’s a quick recap on some of the things that have caught my attention, just in case you missed them.

I think it’s only fair to start with Donald Trump. This election, in my opinion, has become a bit of a laughing stock, mainly down to Trump in particular, but that doesn’t mean Hillary gets off scott free either.  She has more than contributed to what I see as a choice between the bad, and the really bad. Is there any way back for Trump now, we will all find out in less than 3 weeks time.

How about the Exo-Mars mission. Did it land, didn’t it land? The last contact with the probe was made just before it landed, but no contact since. There are all sorts of theories circulating about what actually has happened. Some say it landed, but it some loose rock or debris and broke. Some say it didn’t land at all. Attempted communications are leading to no response, so I guess we will never know.

Getting drunk on 5 litres of blackcurrant juice. Yes, this actually happened to a Gorilla who escaped from a London Zoo. It is unclear how it escaped, and was causing mayhem until it was safely rescued and returned to its enclosure, with no harm being done to anyone. Only later did they find out the reason. Sounds like a cheap night out to me.

So we thought the rain and flooding was a problem here, and to be fair, it is a pain in the backside. But spare a thought for the guys living in Hong Kong. The City was pretty much shut down as Typhoon Haima is on its doorstep. A No. 8 storm signal has been given, and im not 100% sure what that means, but it sounds pretty bad. Here’s hoping and praying for the best with no serious consequences.

And finally, next time your tucking into a pack or crisps, or bag of chips if you from the US, take a look at the best before date. I guarantee it will be a Saturday. How do I know this, well this week, Walkers, a well know manufacturer of the tasty snack came out and gave us the answer to the question on everyone’s lips, “Why is it always on a Saturday?” Well, the short answer is that production always starts on a Sunday, so all products produced that week will have the same “best before” date, which is always at the end of the week, which in their case, is Saturday.

Ok guys, enough from me, hope you all have a nice weekend, and il see you again next week.
