Bar worker kidnapped in Jomtien

At 3.30am, on the morning of December 14, Pattaya police received reports that a woman had been abducted from a street in front of Champion Bar at Lan Poh Market, Jomtien.

At the scene investigators took a statement from twenty-seven year old Ms Pornnipa Masingha who claimed that her friend, thirty-year old Ms Pao, had been dragged into a van by five men who then sped off.

The van had a ‘school bus’ sticker and the license no. ฮก-3282 (Bangkok)

Pornippa told officers that the victim had been having a problem the owner of the bar she worked in and had said she wanted to leave her job.

In response the bar-owner threatened her with physical harm. After her shift she was abducted, according to the witness.

Officers immediately set up road blocks around the area but the van had disappeared.

Ms Pao has not been seen or heard from since and friends are worried for her safety.
